The 2nd European Games 2019 is going down at the largest sporting facility in Minsk, Belarus. The event is scheduled for the Dinamo Stadium which is famously known as the “Minsk-Arena”, and also the “Chizhovka-Arena”. Apart from the spectators, fans, and other high ranking diplomats that will be in attendance, there will be about 4,000 athletes.
These 4000 athletes will compete for the 200 medal events that have been laid down. They will come with about 2,000 trainers and will also other attendants that represent official delegations from over 46 European Olympic committees.
When Were European Games First Held?
The event, whose first of kind was held in Baku the capital city of Azerbaijan in 2015 between June 12, 2015, to June 28, 2015, is organized by the European Olympic Committees (EOC).
The EOC announced a full membership for the Coordination Commission of the 2019 second edition of European Games and carefully represented every stakeholder in the European Games.
When Will the 2019 European Games be Held?
The 2019 games will go down in Belarus at the Chizhovka-Arena as from 21 June 2019, at10:00 am GMT to 30 June 2019, at 2:00 pm GMT. Belarus will be the second country to host the events after Azerbaijan.
Belarus participated in the first European Games in 2015 and won a total of 43 medals. The medals that they won included 10 gold, 11silver, and 22 bronze. They were ranked 7th in overall.
How Many Events Will Be Held?
Looking at the European Games 2019 Schedule you can easily see there are about 15 sporting events to be held in 2019 competitions. These events include Archery, Judo, Boxing, Badminton, Basketball, Beach Soccer, Canoe Sprint, Karate, Sambo, Shooting, Wrestling, Table Tennis, and Cycling.
